Michelle Oaks Ortiz

Michelle Ortiz has been "performing" in the classroom since the turn of the century, primarily as a middle school English teacher. She has been creating and performing with A Broken Umbrella Theatre since 2009. Because of this company (especially Chrissy Gardner), Michelle met her amazing husband, Ruben. They have since moved from New Jersey to the cozy village of Westville in order to create theater and raise their family with their best friends, old and new. Together, they have two beautiful children who are lucky to be immersed in this unique, loving, and creative arts community.
