Michael Peter Smith

Michael Peter Smith has been an active member of A Broken Umbrella Theatre since Thunderbolt and has also performed in Play with Matches, The Library Project, and Seen Change! on the glorious Shubert stage. He is proud that two members of the A Broken Umbrella Theatre Company (Ian Alderman and Lou Mangini) were his students at Hamden Hall, where he taught theatre and directed plays and musicals for 30 years. At Hamden Hall, he had the blessing of being able to work as a team with his wife, MJ, for his entire career. He and MJ have recently retired from Hamden Hall and now reside in Orem, Utah, where MJ is an award-winning artist. We hope to travel east to resume our ABUT shenanigans sometime in the near future.
