A Broken Umbrella artists contributed Garage #4, one of ten scenes in East Rock Halloween Project's socially distanced Boitatá.
Boitatá was a Halloween 2020 walking performance created by East Rock Halloween Project with New Haven artists across ten socially distanced garage scenes. A Broken Umbrella Theatre was a contributing artist group for Garage #4.
Audience members moved between predetermined socially distanced viewing spots outside East Rock garages, with each artist group telling one portion of the Brazilian folktale in an approximately five-minute installment. This page focuses on A Broken Umbrella Theatre's Garage #4 contribution, one of ten scenes within the larger Boitatá experience. The garage included Ryan Gardner on production design, Isaac Bloodworth on puppet creation, and Rachel Alderman and Isaac Bloodworth in performance.
