Rob Shapiro has contributed songs to five A Broken Umbrella Theatre shows: Family Business, Seen Change!, The Library Show, VaudeVillain, and Thunderbolt. Other musicals include A Hanukkah Jamboree (Ars Nova’s ANT Fest, 54 Below); Le Fou with Bekah Brunstetter and Julia Meinwald; and Catch. Rob has written songs and material for Hartford Stage, The Broadway League, General Mischief Dance Theatre, as well as the film and off-Broadway production of "Waiting in the Wings: The Musical” (BroadwayWorld Off-Broadway Awards: Best New Score of a Musical). His concert adaptation of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! premiered at Missouri's Springfield Symphony Orchestra and is licensed by Concord Theatricals. He is an alum of NYU’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program and the Dramatists Guild Fellowship program.
